"Me Time" is part of a series called, The Rooted Ground. I use humans to represent the trees above. The trees are to represent who you are as a person and the emotion you are feeling at any particular time in your life. This feeling makes up who you are, your Soul, Life, and your Spirit. The roots make up the tree and if roots do not grow deep the tree will cease to exist; similar to the human's soul.

Anthony Burks is one of the most unique conceptual artists in America. His paintings mix colored pencils, watercolor, pen, and ink, and are characterized by his unusual choice of colors. Whether depicting birds, animals, or people, Anthony is able to convey the intertwining of their beauty and their strength.
